Kemo IPTV on Android TV & Google TV: Step-by-Step Setup
Android TV and Google TV devices — Sony, TCL, Philips, Xiaomi boxes and many others — get their IPTV player from Google Play like any other app, so there's no sideloading. TiviMate is our first choice. Expect about 8 minutes from opening the Play Store to watching a channel.

How do you install Kemo IPTV on Android TV & Google TV?
You need your Kemo IPTV login (from the welcome email or the free trial) and about 8 minutes. The login type for this device is Xtream Codes. Follow these 6 steps in order.
Step 1: Update the system
Check Settings → Device Preferences → About → System update first. Players behave better on current Android TV versions, and old firmware is a common cause of crashes.
Step 2: Install TiviMate from Google Play
Search Google Play for “TiviMate IPTV Player” and choose Install. If your box has no Play Store (some uncertified boxes), ask support for the direct installer link.
Step 3: Choose Xtream Codes
Open TiviMate → Add playlist → Xtream Codes. Using Xtream instead of a plain M3U link loads the TV guide, movies and series automatically.
Step 4: Type your details
Copy in the three login fields from the welcome email. Use the on-screen keyboard's “.com” key carefully — a single wrong character is the most common reason a login fails.
Step 5: Pick what to import
Tick Live TV, Movies and Series, select Next, give the playlist a name like “Kemo IPTV” and select Done.
Step 6: Tidy the channel list
Long-press OK on any group in the guide → Manage groups. Hide countries and categories you don't watch; the guide becomes faster and easier to browse.
What if it doesn't work on Android TV & Google TV?
Most problems on Android TV & Google TV come from a mistyped login, an outdated app or a weak network connection. These are the issues our technicians see most on this device, with the fix that usually solves them.
TiviMate asks for a premium account
Favourites, catch-up and recording need TiviMate Premium, bought through the TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone. Live channels work without it.
Box runs hot and restarts
Cheap boxes throttle when hot. Give it airflow, and in TiviMate set Settings → Playback → Decoder to Hardware.
Android TV & Google TV tips from our technicians
- On Google TV, switch the profile to “Apps only mode” if the home screen is cluttered with recommendations you don't want.
- Turn on Settings → Device Preferences → Display → Match content frame rate (wording varies) for smoother sport.
- Most Android TV boxes accept a USB drive — TiviMate can record programmes to it.

Kemo IPTV on Android TV & Google TV: FAQ
Is Google TV the same as Android TV for Kemo IPTV?
Yes. Google TV is a new home screen on top of Android TV, and the same apps from the Play Store work on both. The setup steps are identical.
Do I need TiviMate Premium?
No, live channels work on the free version. Premium adds favourites, catch-up, recording and multiple playlists — worth it if TiviMate becomes your main app.
