Kemo IPTV on Roku: Step-by-Step Setup

Roku's channel store has no full IPTV player, so Kemo IPTV reaches a Roku through screen mirroring or AirPlay from another device. It works well for occasional viewing; for daily use, a Firestick costs less than most Roku upgrades. Setup takes about 7 minutes.

How do you install Kemo IPTV on Roku?

You need your Kemo IPTV login (from the welcome email or the free trial) and about 7 minutes. The login type for this device is Through the sending device (Xtream Codes or M3U). Follow these 5 steps in order.

  1. Step 1: Allow mirroring on the Roku

Roku Home → Settings → System → Screen mirroring → Screen mirroring mode → Always allow.

  2. Step 2: Set up the player on the sender

Install a player on your Android phone, iPhone or PC and log in there first. Follow the guide for that device.

  3. Step 3: Mirror from Android

Swipe down the quick settings → Smart View, Screen Cast or Cast (depends on brand) → choose your Roku.

  4. Step 4: Mirror from Windows

Press Win+K and choose the Roku from the list. Open the player and go full screen.

  5. Step 5: Or AirPlay from iPhone

On supported Roku 4K models, open the player, tap the AirPlay icon and choose the Roku. Approve the code on the TV the first time.

What if it doesn't work on Roku?

Most problems on Roku come from a mistyped login, an outdated app or a weak network connection. These are the issues our technicians see most on this device, with the fix that usually solves them.

Roku doesn't appear in the cast list

Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network and band. Restart the Roku: Settings → System → Power → System restart.

Mirrored picture lags or pixelates

Move the router closer or use the 5 GHz band. Mirroring re-encodes the video, so it is always softer than a native app.

Roku tips from our technicians

  • Roku TVs (TCL, Hisense Roku models) follow exactly the same steps.
  • Disable the phone's battery saver during mirroring.
  • A Firestick or Android TV stick in another HDMI port gives a much better result for daily viewing.

Kemo IPTV on Roku: FAQ

Why isn't there a Roku app for Kemo IPTV?

Roku tightly controls its channel store and doesn't list full IPTV players. Screen mirroring and AirPlay are the supported ways to get the picture onto a Roku TV.

Does mirroring use a connection?

Yes — the sending phone or PC is the device streaming, so it uses one connection.
